l_4d0bb23fa19a40acbfd1147259f8015f1.       How did you first get into DJ’ing?

I first got into DJ’ing back in 2006.  I started out as an assistant running light shows for dance parties, and worked my way up from there.  I started DJ’ing on a computer program where all you could really do was beat match and ad little effects.  I started spinnin’ with vinyl at my first big show.

2.       What was your very first gig?

My very first job was a High School safe and sober party.

3.       How long have you been DJ’ing for?

Coming up in June I will have been DJ’ing for 4 years now.

4.       What do you love most about your job as a DJ?

What do I love most about being a DJ???  I would have to say the music.  It sounds like a simple answer but the way certain music can change moods is pretty amazing to me.

5.       Where do you want to see yourself in the next 5 years?

5 years from now is a lot of time for change.  I can’t say exactly where I think I’ll be because I have no idea. All I know is that I plan on being succesful one way or another.

6.       Favorite quote?

“The only way of knowing the limits of what’s possible, is by going beyond them into the impossible.”  -Traac Staar

What is your favorite type of music to spin?

I’m a little picky when it comes to my favorite type of music.  I like Old School Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B.  But as far as what I lik to spin, it really doesn’t matter, if the crowd likes it, I like it.

8.       Favorite type of food?

Haha!!!  Chicken….

9.       What is the most interesting experience you have had while performing?

Well… I was spinnin and this drunk chick comes up and starts explaining to me that I dont know what I’m doing and I’m DJ’ing wrong.  So she tries to push me out of the way and starts scratching with the record (horribly).  I told her she needed to leave the DJ booth and go back to her friends, which I thought she did.  30 secconds later I feel a sharp pain on my back… this girl was biting me!  Ahhhh I LOVE HATERS!!

10.   What type of advice could you give to newer DJ’s?

For any new up and coming, or aspiring DJ’s, there’s not a lot of advice to give. Everyone has there own style, find yours, and make sure you know music. If you don’t know the music, know the crowd.
